Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Electronic Memory, including the MyLifeChronicle Telegram interface and Google Drive integration.
1. Purpose of the service
Electronic Memory is a developing digital long-term memory service. It helps users submit text and voice memories, organize them into calendar-day pages, and maintain a personal archive in a supported storage provider. Google Drive is the currently supported personal cloud provider; other providers may be added in the future.
2. Accepting these terms
By using Electronic Memory, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service or authorize its access to your Google Drive.
3. Your accounts and authorization
You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Telegram and Google accounts you use with Electronic Memory and for activity performed through those accounts. Do not share passwords, authorization codes, OAuth tokens, or bot access credentials.
You must have the right to submit the information you provide and to authorize use of the selected Google Drive account. You may revoke Electronic Memory's Google authorization through your Google Account security settings.
4. Your data
You retain your rights in the memories and other content you submit. You permit Electronic Memory to process that content only as needed to provide the features you request, operate and secure the service, and comply with legal obligations.
For an ordinary Google Drive user, the persistent archive is stored in that user's personal Google Drive. You remain responsible for the Google account, its available storage, and any independent backup or export you consider necessary.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activity;
- submit content you do not have the right to process;
- attempt to access another user's archive or account;
- probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass the service's security;
- extract or misuse credentials, tokens, or internal identifiers;
- use automated access in a way that interferes with other users.
6. Third-party platforms
Electronic Memory depends on services operated by third parties, including Telegram, Google, and Google Drive. Enhanced speech recognition may also use OpenAI. Those services have their own terms, privacy practices, account rules, availability, and technical limits. Electronic Memory does not control them and cannot guarantee their continued availability or unchanged behavior.
7. Availability and product development
Electronic Memory is under active development. Features may be added, changed, suspended, or removed as the product evolves. Reasonable efforts are made to operate the service reliably, but uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available operation is not guaranteed.
Internet, Telegram, Google OAuth, Google Drive, speech recognition, and user-device failures may delay or prevent an operation. Users should verify important entries and maintain appropriate control of their personal cloud data.
8. No professional advice
Electronic Memory is a personal memory tool. It does not provide medical, legal, financial, archival, or emergency services advice.
9. Suspending or ending use
You may stop using the service at any time and may revoke Google access through your Google Account. Revoking access does not automatically delete files already stored in your Google Drive.
Access may be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, address abuse, comply with legal obligations, or respond to a material violation of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as Electronic Memory develops. The effective date above will be updated when a revised version is published. If a change materially affects use of Google user data, the disclosure and consent requirements described in the Privacy Policy will also apply.
