Electronic Memory
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Electronic Memory accesses, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the service, including its Telegram interface and Google Drive connection.
1. What Electronic Memory is
Electronic Memory is a digital long-term memory service. It helps a user collect text and voice memories into pages organized by the calendar days of that user's life. MyLifeChronicle is the domain and Telegram product identity used by Electronic Memory.
2. Information the service processes
Depending on the features you use, Electronic Memory may process:
- Telegram account information needed to operate the bot, such as your Telegram numeric identifier, username if available, and language setting;
- technical web request information, such as IP address, request time, browser metadata, and security or error logs;
- text, dates, and page-editing choices that you submit for your memory archive;
- voice messages submitted for speech recognition and the resulting text;
- memory-page content stored in and retrieved from your chosen storage provider;
- Google OAuth authorization information required to connect and maintain access to your personal Google Drive; and
- Google Drive files and folders that Electronic Memory creates or uses to provide your archive.
3. Google authorization and Drive access
If you choose Google Drive, authorization takes place through Google's OAuth service. Electronic Memory requests only this Google Drive scope:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file
In practical terms, this permission lets Electronic Memory create and use the Google Drive files needed for the archive and reconnect to files available to this application. Electronic Memory does not request general permission to browse or manage all files in your Google Drive.
4. How Google user data is used
Google authorization data and Google Drive file data are used only to provide user-facing Electronic Memory features: establishing and maintaining the Drive connection, creating or recovering the user's Electronic Memory archive, saving and reading its pages, deleting a page when the user requests it, and reporting storage status and archive usage.
Electronic Memory does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, use it to determine creditworthiness, or provide it to data brokers.
5. Processing and storage are different
Electronic Memory's servers process requests so the service can receive Telegram input, recognize speech, apply page operations, and communicate with Google Drive. The service also keeps operational account information and securely stored authorization credentials needed to maintain the user's Google Drive connection.
For an ordinary Google Drive user, the persistent memory archive itself is stored in that user's personal Google Drive. Electronic Memory's servers are not used as the permanent archive location for that user's Google Drive archive.
6. Voice processing
Voice files are downloaded temporarily so speech can be converted to text and are removed from the application's temporary processing area after the recognition attempt. Standard speech recognition for ordinary users is performed by the service's local Whisper model. If an account uses an enhanced speech feature, the voice may instead be sent to OpenAI for transcription. The resulting text then follows the same archive flow as text entered by the user.
7. Service providers and data transfers
The current service depends on:
- Telegram, which delivers bot messages and account information under Telegram's own terms and privacy practices;
- Google and Google Drive, which provide OAuth authorization and the user's personal cloud storage; and
- OpenAI, only when enhanced or developer speech recognition is used, to transcribe the submitted voice file.
- Cloudflare, which handles public web traffic for HTTPS delivery, availability, and protection of the public web surface.
Data is shared with these providers only as needed for the feature the user invokes. Electronic Memory does not transfer archive data to advertising platforms or information resellers.
8. Retention
Memory pages in Google Drive remain there until the user changes or deletes them. Revoking Google authorization prevents future access but does not automatically delete files already stored in the user's Google Drive.
Electronic Memory retains account, connection, and operational records while they are needed to provide and secure the service. The current service does not promise automatic deletion after a fixed number of days. A user may contact Electronic Memory to request deletion of server-side account or connection information. Such a request does not by itself delete the user's Google Drive files.
9. Revoking Google access
You can revoke Electronic Memory's access at any time from the third-party apps and services section of your Google Account security settings. After revocation, Electronic Memory cannot continue Drive operations unless you authorize it again.
10. Google API Services User Data Policy
Electronic Memory's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where they apply. Google user data is used only for prominent user-facing archive features and the limited security, legal, or service-transfer circumstances permitted by that policy.
11. Security
Electronic Memory uses HTTPS for its public web interface and takes reasonable technical measures to protect authorization credentials and operational information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and users should also protect their Telegram and Google accounts.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Electronic Memory develops. Material changes to how Google user data is used will be disclosed before the changed use is introduced and, where required, renewed consent will be requested.
13. Privacy and deletion contact
For privacy questions or a request to delete Electronic Memory's server-side account and connection information, email andprojectai@gmail.com. You may also contact Electronic Memory through the official Telegram bot: @MyLifeChronicleBot. Please do not send passwords, OAuth tokens, or other secrets in your request.
