Electronic Memory is not a conventional diary. It helps you preserve ordinary moments and important events as a personal history organized around the calendar days of your life.
A page for every day
The basic unit of Electronic Memory is one calendar-day page. You can add a thought today, return with another detail later, and open that day again years from now. Over time, individual pages form a personal archive that can preserve the story of a life and, if you choose, a family history.

Your archive stays in your cloud
For Google Drive users, the persistent Electronic Memory archive is stored in the user's personal Google Drive. Electronic Memory's servers process requests and maintain the authorization and operational information required to provide the service, but they are not used as the permanent storage location for that Google Drive user's memory archive.
The app requests the limited Google Drive drive.file
permission so it can create and use the files needed for Electronic
Memory. It does not request general access to all content in the
user's Google Drive.
How access works
A user chooses Google Drive during onboarding and authorizes access on Google's own consent screen. Electronic Memory then creates or safely reconnects to its archive structure. Access can be revoked at any time from the user's Google Account security settings.
